September 11th, Service of Prayer
for Peace
These next few weeks will be painful for some and confusing
for others as we try to make sense of the horrors of September 11th,
2001. In a wilderness of images of destruction and political rhetoric around
us, we as faith communities need to look to our creator for signs of hope and
healing action. Leaders and members of all religious communities seeking such
healing and hope are invited to come together in a sacred space and participate
in a simple service of prayer and silence.
Kingsview United
Church in
Oshawa in association with the Canadian
International Peace Project invites you to
an inter-faith Service of Prayer for Peace on September 11th, 2002,
7:00 pm at Kingsview United Church, 505 Adelaide Avenue East in Oshawa, Ontario
(located at the corner of Adelaide Street and Wilson Road).
A number of special guests from various
faith communities will be participating in the service.
